Get to know Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgeon Dr. David L. Galbut, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Galbut, a renowned Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, is recognized by his peers as consistently producing the best outcomes in heart, lung, and vascular surgery. Having been practicing for more than 25 years in the Miami community, he has performed more than 4,500 coronary artery bypass operations and 1,500 valve surgeries. He has extensive experience with aortic and mitral valve replacement or repair, and complex cardiac surgery. He is known for using arterial grafts in coronary artery bypass surgery which gives the best long-term results, and is currently a faculty member of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Graduating 3rd in his class of 600 students at New York University, Dr. Galbut earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine . He completed his surgical internship at Harvard Medical School and his residency in general surgery at Columbia University Presbyterian Medical Center. He then went on to complete his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami.
