Dr. David L. Galbut attended the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, and received his medical degree in 1975. Then he served his surgical internship at Harvard Medical School. He conducted his general surgery residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York. He completed his fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Galbut received board certification in cardiothoracic surgery from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Moreover, he attained Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons and membership of the Society for Thoracic Surgery. Besides his medical degree, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at New York University in 1970.
